Toho-exclusive actor who appeared in many supporting roles in sci-fi, fantasy, and Crazy Cats comedies during the 60s.
Continued to appear on television throughout the 80s.
Retired and became a Buddhist monk. When he died in 1997, his son Ishida Tarô inherited his priesthood.
