Mukai Jun'ichirô

Bio
向井淳一郎
4 Jul 1927
Tokyo, Japan

Mukai joined Toho in the 1950s, originally with aspirations of becoming a screenwriter. However, he transitioned into acting and became an exclusive Toho talent during the studio's golden years. He was a frequent supporting player in director Inagaki Hiroshi's films and appeared in numerous special effects productions, often cast as police officers, soldiers, or reporters due to his authoritative presence. Following the dissolution of Toho's exclusive actor system in 1971, he joined the Nova Pro Group.
