Ôki was a versatile actor who worked in film, television, and voice acting. In live-action, he appeared in supporting roles in films like Yojimbo (1961) and The Adventure of Kigan Castle (1966), often playing tough or villainous characters.

He found significant fame as a voice actor, particularly in the Super Robot Wars video game franchise, where he voiced the character Drake Luft. He also provided voices for anime such as Berserk (1997) and Trigun (1998). His deep, commanding voice made him a natural fit for antagonists and authority figures.
